Johnny on a Journey

Why even make this blog? For those of you wondering this, hopefully, I’ll be able to explain my reasoning in entering this digital frontier. I even find myself asking this very question sometimes. I think one of the main reasons I’ve decided to do this is because why not? I have always had a passion for writing and always wondered what it’d be like to write a book for everyone to read. Although this is not quite that, this may be as close as I’ll ever get to that, or maybe even the first step towards that goal. As the title of my blog states, this is, in fact, a journey. 

When I was first struck with the inspiration to make this blog, I had a travel blog in mind. And even though I still do plan and hope to document my travels here, as I sit here on my couch writing this on Christmas Eve, I feel like this “journey” I will be going on will be more than just worldwide travel. Johnny on a Journey (it’s weird referencing myself in third person) I think will ultimately be about me and my journey through life itself. It’s true that I do plan on traveling the world very soon and I hope to do it for quite a while (a few years hopefully), but who knows what will happen. I would like this blog to document my experiences as I go through life’s uncertainty. This blog will be treated almost like a public diary of the important or influential things that happen in my experiences. 

Now I have absolutely no idea if anyone will actually read any of this outside of my close friends and family (and even then that might be a stretch haha), but I hope that those of you that do read this find some enjoyment in it. I am going to try my best to post regularly even though I’m not quite sure what that means just yet. I will try my hardest to take this blog seriously, and maybe if you stick around long enough you’ll see the site evolve and grow as I get better at writing, web design, and just blogging in general. Hopefully, this wasn’t too long for my first blog post, but if you did read all the way through it, I thank you for starting this journey with me. That’s all for my first post, I hope you enjoyed it.
